Friday’s Favorites

8 Mar

My favorite things this week definitely have an Indian flair. And like most things Indian, it’s full of color (and a little spice). Hope you enjoy and have a happy Friday!

A staple in any Indian’s kitchen, the spice box makes my life so much easier by having all my necessities within easy reach. The colors of the spices are so vivid, it’s like a micocosm of India stored in a little container (I also love the more traditional steel ones available here).

Colorful and elaborate patterns to welcome Spring (via a care package from my mother-in-law…don’t you just love recieving gifts?).

Since graduating dental school and getting married, I’ve realized how fast time is flying by. It’s hard to believe that I’ve already hit a few milestones that you spend your whole life dreaming about. And for this exact reason, I’ve tried to slow down, be present, and appreciate the seemingly mundane things in life. It’s taken me a while to understand that not everything has to be a momentous occasion to be significant. Even some fresh flowers that brighten a room or a gift from a loved one can be special and meaningful.

So without further ado, these are are a few of my favorite things I’m loving this week…

Fresh flowers, an ethnic-inspired frame of B and me, a votive and lava lamp from B’s bachelor days (I have come to accept it for its vintage vibe)

A glass serving tray gifted by my mom adds a little color to my black & white kitchen, and chocolate covered almonds that are little pieces of heaven

New Dolce Vita oxfords I can’t wait to dress up and down this Spring.

What are some things you’re appreciating and loving in your life?
